Today at approximately 1:45 p.m., Ayersville Schools received a threatening email from a terrorist organization indicating a bomb threat. Following emergency operation procedures, school officials immediately evacuated the building and contacted local authorities. Emergency responders were dispatched to the district, conducted a thorough sweep, and cleared it to resume normal operations.
School will be in session tomorrow. School counselors, mental health counselors, and other staff will be available for students that may need support while here.
For those that left things behind at the band and choir concerts, the building will be open from 4:30-7:00 p.m. tonight. Please enter through doors 23 (north student parking lot), 28 (old high school door), or 6 (band room door).
Thank you for the quick response from The Defiance County Sheriff’s Office, Highland Center Fire Department, and other off duty personnel. The safety of our school community is always our number one priority. We appreciate your patience and support at this time.

Calling all students grades 7-12 that like to sing and dance! We are looking for additional ensemble members for our spring musical, "Bye Bye Birdie"! You do not need any experience or an audition - simply fill out the google form with your schedule and you can participate in the ensemble.
The ensemble is a group of students who will participate in 5 scenes on stage, rehearsing one to two times a week in the evenings after sports practices. The ensemble does not have any lines or solos, but will sing and dance with the group. This is a great opportunity to try something new and make new friends.
Even better - if this is your first time in theater, you will receive a free gift basket during the week of the show!
Please see Ms. Stehura in person or via email (astehura@ayersvillepilots.org) with any questions.
