Mr. Manriquez met with 6th grade students to talk about opportunities to participate in sports when they get to junior high next year. Just a reminder, the staff of Mercy Health Defiance will be on site to conduct our annual sports physicals for the 2022-2023 school year on Wednesday, May 18th, during the school day. This morning, the Commons was full of important woman in the lives of our kindergarteners. Moms, grandmas, and aunts enjoyed muffins, books, and games together with their kindergarten student! Thank you for your continued support and for helping make kindergarten a great year!
This is a reminder that Ayersville will run on a scheduled 2-hour delay tomorrow (5/4) for the purpose of staff professional development. This delay includes Four County students. The Four County bus will depart from the high school at approximately 9:50 a.m.

Last week, our youngest Pilots began the kindergarten screening process for the 2022-23 school year! Incoming kindergarteners rotated through stations focused on writing, speech, letters, shapes, gross and fine motor skills, as well as hearing and vision screening. #futurepilots

Join us tomorrow night (4/13) at 6:00 p.m. in the Auditorium for speaker Scott Frank's presentation on "Digital Empowerment for Parents". Free babysitting will be provided in the gym for those parents that join the presentation. Hope to see you there!
Don't forget tomorrow night is our Community Day Open House. The building will be open from 3:15-5:45 to play games in the commons, play ball in the gym, run around on the playground, and tour the building. Dinner will be available for a freewill donation.

Have you noticed the Mobile Dentist in front of the school this week? Ayersville Local Schools is partnering with Health Partners of Western Ohio to provide dental cleanings to students in grades PK-12. Another great example of the importance of our community!
Fourth grade students have been learning about paper circuits in Makerspace Lab. They used Chibitronics kits and templates to complete the project. Students designed their own cards. After their design was complete, they added the copper tape, LED light, and a battery to complete the circuit.

Fifth grade students in Mr. Roberts' science class have been learning about the characteristics, cycles, and patterns in the solar system and within the universe! Students created models and shared information about the planets. Pilots, your learning is out of this world!!
Warm weather means opportunities for outside learning! Elementary art spent time working on chalk art last week. This chalk activity challenged students to use their imagination to create what comes to mind and build upon that. Students collaborated to create larger artwork as well. #pilotpride
